Kyoto, Japan

Perhaps no other flower is associated with Spring like the Cherry Blossom, or Sakura, and very few countries take ‘Cherry Blossom Viewing’ quite as seriously as the Japanese. Hanami is, quite simply put, the appreciation of flowers. Kyoto is one of the most scenic cities to be in, with its ancient temples, busy streets, and parks that bloom pink with Sakura flowers. Locals and tourists alike gather under the trees to appreciate the transient flowers with snacks, Asahi beer, and lots of Selfies.

Andalucia, Spain

Spring brings perfect weather to one of the most alluring regions in Spain. From Granada to Seville, enjoy warm weather that hasn’t yet become scorching hot, and the Semana Santa (Holy Week) parades to soak in some festive spirit. Andalucia is teeming with gorgeous architecture that is heavily influenced by the Moorish culture. Holland’s Keukenhof is a very large real-life painting. More than 7 million tulip bulbs are in bloom, and that makes more than 800 varieties of tulips. You probably didn’t know that there are hundreds of varieties of tulips, but now you do, and you want to see them all. You’ll find yourself in a cyclist’s paradise. Rent a bike and cruise through Amsterdam to soak in the exuberance of a city that welcomes Spring with much zest.
