Singapore Food Expo

There’s no denying one thing that Singapore loves, and that’s food. Singapore Food Expo is the largest scale food event showcasing more than 100 exhibitors and thousands of delectable products. Last year, more than 600,000 visitors turned up for the five-day event. Get lost in the maze as you sample your favourite foods and view live food demonstrations by celebrity chefs such as Chef Eric Teo. Best of all? It’s free admission!

Ultra Singapore

The music festival dedicated to electronic dance music hits with a bang every year, and this upcoming edition will not disappoint either. Get your party on with the 2017’s lineup which includes EDM kings like Steve Aoki, Hardwell and Tiesto, as well as other high-profile DJs like former Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello, techno act Dubfire and more.

Singapore Food Festival
Date: 14 to 30 July 2017
Venue: Various locations around Singapore
Whether you love street food or appreciate the finer taste of fancy dinners, Singapore Food Festival (SFF) covers it all. The annual event organised by the Singapore Tourism Board started back in 1994 and offers a slice of Singapore’s multicultural heritage. SFF 2016 saw ‘The 50 Cents Fest!’ at Chinatown Food Street, Kueh Appreciation Day, as well as nostalgia-inducing classics like classics such as Iceballs, Kok Kok Mee and Hainanese Larp. Also featured were modern twists by innovative chefs like chilli crab pie and ‘Laksagne’ (laksa-flavoured lasagna!). Admission is free to most venues and you just have to pay for the food you consume, so remember to visit SFF 2017 with a hearty appetite.

Singapore Coffee Festival
Date: 4 to 6 August 2017
Venue: Marina Bay Cruise Centre, 61 Marina Coastal Drive
Singapore’s only coffee-centric festival is on for its second year, bringing all your beloved cafes to one place. It showcases both specialty coffees and local kopi, and there will be over 100 exhibitors of brewed drinks, beans, gadgets and machines available for purchase. You can sip a cuppa with a waterfront view, learn more about coffee in lab sessions while relaxing to local music acts.

Beerfest Asia

It’s more than just booze at Beerfest Asia. The year’s festival promises 500 different types of varieties of beer, accompanied by stand-up comedy, International tribute acts, and more than 30 live music acts — perfect to drink, chill and hang out with your beer-lovin’ friends.

Singapore Night Festival

Venue: Bras Basah and Bugis Precincts
This event sponsored by National Museum of Singapore brings you musical performances, film screenings, aerial performances, cultural exhibitions and more. It is held over two weekends every year at the heart of Singapore’s Museum District and Art Scene. Watch museums come to life with roving street performers, light installations and more. Singapore Craft Beer Week

Beer enthusiasts would be glad to partake in the Singapore Craft Beer Week, which is a week-long full of brew-related highlights. The week has seen events like a beer and cheese pairing session by an American bar owner, a Japanese craft beer masterclass, beer sampling and blind tasting. Formula 1 Grand Prix

For some, Formula 1 is about heart-pumping fast cars and the roar of revving engines. For others, the highlight is their stellar concert lineup. Visitors to the 2017 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix this year can expect top names like One Republic, Duran Duran, as well as International superstars who are performing in Singapore for the very first time. This includes American pop singer Ariana Grande and electronic dance music duo Chainsmokers.

Food Japan

ASEAN’s leading exhibition for Japanese food and beverage is back again this year, featuring the best of confectionary, snacks, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Neon Lights

Venue: Fort Canning National Park
Singapore’s premier outdoor music and arts festival is entering its third year with more quirk, funk, and everything in between. Expect music and visual installations peppered throughout the festival site, as well as local and overseas acts. The lineup for 2017 has not yet been announced, but past years have seen Sigur Rós, Damien Rice, Yuna and more. They are currently doing a call-out for ideas, so if you have an act you are looking to showcase, this is a great opportunity! From workshops to shows to installations, there is something for everyone in this all-ages, family-friendly event.

Zoukout
Dates: TBA
Venue: Siloso Beach, Sentosa
This annual homegrown electronic dance festival attracts locals and visitors from all over the world alike, which features two days of heart-pumping beats on Siloso Beach. The 2017 dates have not been announced, but it is usually held at the end of the year. Armin van Buuren, Jamie Jones, Dixon, Skrillex, Richie Hawtin and Martin Garrix are a few megastars who have graced the festival.
