We promise it won’t be as crowded as the Geylang Bazaar.

If you’ve ever find yourself standing in line for one of those colorful Talad drinks or the watermelon volcano at the Geylang Bazaar, this is one place you have to visit.

This Hari Raya long weekend, Chijmes is hosting a festival to celebrate our love for Instagrammable foods with their very own HYPESTAGRAM food festival. Expect to see snaking queues everywhere since all of the popular food stalls will be under one roof.

For those with an insatiable appetite for photogenic food that looks as good as it tastes – mark your calendars now. Here’s a snippet of what you can expect:

Churros Factory

With all the other unique foods, the hype for churros has definitely taken a backseat. But fret not, Churros Factory will be returning with a special menu for this festival that will reignite your love for their fluffy, light and crispy churros.

Besides their popular flavours like Ondeh-ondeh, Butterscotch and Red Velvet, you can also feast on their famous churro sandwich with ice cream or a good ol’ churros burger, perfect for the sweltering heat.

PopBar

This frozen dessert concept that is supposedly popular in cities such as New York and Tokyo, aims to bring artisanal, handcrafted gelato on a popsicle stick. We love that there are no artificial flavours or preservatives added, and that most of their sticks are under 200 calories.

Their top 3 signature Popbars, Vanilla, Chocolate and Italian Pistachio are definitely worth trying. For that Instagram touch, add $0.50 for their variety of toppings – it’s unlimited, so feel free to decorate your popsicle with rose petals, fruity pebbles and chocolate drizzles.

Bubbs

Not only do they look cute on Instagram, the bottles you get to keep can also serve a multitude of purposes.

As their name implies, Bubbs sells a variety of bubble tea such as Black, Green, Oolong Tea ($2.20), Milk Tea ($3.50), Fruit Tea ($2.90), Yakult ($3.50) and Ice Blend ($4). It basically similar to your bubble tea shop but the lightbulb bottles that most people are here for, comes at an additional $3.

Poppin Soda

Currently featured at the Geylang Serai Bazaar, this stall sells colorful soda drinks using only natural coloring and sweeteners. They recently released a new series of their drinks called “So-Fly”, with beautifully layered and ‘unicorn-colored’ drinks such as Aurora Dream, Ocean Mist and Wanderlust.

Tipsy Bull

This newly founded stall only debuted at Singapore’s Artbox a few months back but their juicy meats are already a hit with us. The foie gras butter grilled steak is definitely a must try! Think juicy meat cooked nicely, with a tinge of herb, spice and Jack Daniel’s.

Meat-lovers, keep an eye out for this stall with their US prime grilled steak and iberico pork cubes (approx $12). Otherwise, their shoestring fries topped with umami mentaiko sauce is the perfect hand-held snack to munch on.

Talad Drink & Thai Kitchen

Instagrammable rainbow drinks in tall bottles from The Talad Drinks and Thai Kitchen were a hit at Artbox Singapore. This layered drink concept is one that’s rather unfamiliar in Singapore, but can easily be found in other countries like Thailand and Taiwan. We reckon the reason for their popularity is because not only do they look pretty, but they taste pretty good too.

The top 3 popular flavours are An Chan Kiwi ($3.80) which is Butterfly Pea Tea with Kiwi, Cha Yen ($3.50) and Strapple Talad ($3.80) – Strawberry with Apple Juice.

Besides their highly sought-after drinks, they also have other authentic Thai food on offer such as Thai grilled skewers and Pad thai.
