Things To Eat
Singapore is a food loving nation, and it only makes sense that restaurants and food outlets are offering plenty of food related promotions this year.
1. Domino’s Pizza
On 9 Aug, Domino’s Pizza is giving 52% off their Chili Crab pizzas – a wise choice, seeing as to how Chili Crab is so uniquely Singaporean – as well as their Peanut Butter Choc Lava cakes.
2. KFC
KFC is also in on it, as they are offering a $5.20 promotional price for their 2 piece chicken meal, which includes two pieces of chicken, 1 mashed potatoes, and a regular Pepsi drink.
3. Town Restaurant
For those with a bigger appetite, there are several hotels in Singapore giving discounts on their buffets, such as the Town Restaurant at Fullerton Hotel, The Edge at Pan Pacific Hotel and the Marriot Cafe from Marriot Singapore Tang Plaza. What an excuse to feast! The full list can be seen here.
4. Peach Garden
Popular Dim Sum restaurant Peach Garden is also offering 30% off its ala carte menu from 1 Aug to 31 Aug, and will be serving 5 uniquely created dishes at 52% off for the occasion. This makes it the perfect outing for a family dinner on the public holiday itself.
5. McDonalds
In addition, to these discounts, several food outlets are offering national day themed menus to add to the festivities.
While McDonald’s has run out of their wildly popular Nasi Lemak burgers, they have stemmed the hungry tide by introducing their all-new McSpicy with egg burgers and the Dinosaur McFlurry.
6. Pezzo
Now, here’s something for durian lovers. Pezzo has also introduced a Durian Charcoal Pizza (yes, you heard that right), which is called the Durian King. It is made up of 100% durian flesh from top grade durians such as D24 and Mao Shan Wang.
7. Ya Kun Kaya Toast
Similarly, local favourite food outlet Ya Kun will be serving Durian Kaya Toast at most outlets until 9 August!

Being a public holiday, there are also plenty of opportunities to do a range of fun activities in Singapore on National Day.
