Even Gain City is queuing up for this.
From the NTUC welfare grant and the recent Procter & Gamble $100 million e-centre, SMEs in Singapore are getting all the help there is out there. Now, even Google is stepping in.
Only for businesses, the tech giant has developed a 24-week programme to help them stretch their digital efforts. Partnering with local agencies such as the Infocomm Media Development Authority and Spring Singapore, the programme is set to foster the next generation of digital leaders in Singapore.
In this increasingly mobile-first world, SMEs are losing out due to the lack of expertise and resources. Which is why this programme comes in handy – Google will help them expand and export their services using the web.
And it’s not just increasing numbers, business leaders can also attend classes such as search engine marketing and analytics. Imagine an accelerator programme of sorts, after all the programme is only half a year long.
Nonetheless, our local businesses are already queuing up for a slice of the cake. Nanyang Optical, Love Bonito, and online baker Old Seng Choong are among the companies that have signed up for the Squared Online programme. Even the electronics retailer Gain City wants to be a part of this.
