There are a couple of things we can all agree on, and one of them has to be the love for food in Singapore. From local cuisine to an international spread in every shopping mall and coffee shop, we are indeed spoilt for choice. In this list, we’ll be looking at 5 food and drink festivals that you don’t want to miss!
World Snack Fair
At the World Snack Fair in April, over 500 global brands will bring your favourite snacks to you: I’m talking Pokka, Meiji, Lotte, Calbee, Arizona etc. Some of these brands will be selling snacks from limited editions or exclusive flavours (like Sake flavoured Kit Kat!) which you probably won’t be able to find elsewhere.
There will also be an ichiban kuji station, which is a sure-win lottery game booth for Otakus interested in getting their hands on anime merchandise. Visitors can also expect to see guest cosplayers and performances, as well as a maid and butler cafe which will serve meals imported from Japan in limited quantities.

Food and Beverage Fair 2017
It’s time to eat, drink and be merry at this year’s F&B fair! A delicious local Asian and international fare awaits you, with newly launched delicacies and unbelievable deals. The best part? Admission is free!

Jamie’s Italian Pop Up Market
Remember the buzz when world-famous British chef Jamie Oliver first opened his restaurant in Singapore? And rightly so, as evident from the impressive reviews on his restaurant’s offerings of antipasti, pasta and risotto dishes that are freshly made daily.
This Easter weekend, Jamie’s Italian Restaurant will be holding a final installation of their pop-up market. Enjoy fresh artisanal produce and try your hand at recreating Jamie’s signature dishes!

Singapore Coffee Festival
Calling all coffee aficionados! The Singapore Coffee Festival is back for its second year, and will be held at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Coffee players worldwide will join local cafes in showcasing craftsmanship in speciality coffee, and affirm Singapore’s unique and rich kopi heritage.
In addition to the coffee-related treats, a wide range of brewed drinks, beans, gadgets and machines will also be available for purchase. Last year, we saw over 100 different exhibitors including Common Man Coffee Roasters, which conducted Lab Sessions that proved incredibly popular with visitors.
In collaboration with the Life section of The Straits Times, the festival will feature a line-up of Singapore’s most popular local bands as an extension of ST Sessions.

Food Japan
With restaurants like Ichiban and Sakae Sushi all over the island, it’s no secret that Singaporeans love Japanese food. This October, Food Japan will be coming to Singapore with a dedicated showcase on Japanese food and beverage, including authentic ingredients direct from Japan, culinary techniques and equipment, as well as demonstrations and classes.
This is the fourth edition of OISHII Japan, with more than 1000 authentic and quality Japanese F&B products featured last year. These products hail from 42 prefectures, including Hokkaido, Kagoshima, Nara, Okinawa, Osaka and Tochigi.
Visitors can expect a wide range of agricultural product, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, confectionery, Japanese tea, meat and seafood. Non-edibles including food processing machinery, kitchen instrument and cookware will also be featured in this exhibition.
