Other than chilling at the typical Tanjong Beach Club, or seeking adrenaline rushes at USS, depending on which demographic you belong too, it’s been a long time since Sentosa has had a specifically exciting special event that makes the trip down to Harbourfront worth it.
Good news, Sentosa might just be doing it for you. This March, Sentosa is about to make your March a Thrillogy! They are set to offer you a slew of free activities on the island. We all know Sentosa as a tourist hotspot with everything overpriced but with one-for-one discounts amongst other attractive promotions, a trip down might not mean burning a hole in your wallet.
From free movies by the beach, free “Halloween Horror Nights” to a bunch of exhilarating sports activities for those who love the sun and the sand, this is for those who have not felt young and free in a long time.
FREE MOVIES BY THE BEACH
I don’t know about you but movies are probably one of the best way to spend quality your time with your loved ones. Without the need to converse, the sheer thought of sitting together in the theatres going through the emotional journey of the movie is pretty nice. Now, add the chilling night breeze, the sloshing sound of the waves crashing onto the shore and the cozy beach vibes in the dark to your movie date nights.
Part of Sentosa’s Thrillogy is the free movie screenings by the beach at Palawan Green every weekend starting from 7.30pm. The movie sessions have already started in the first week of March with screenings of Asian blockbusters such Ip Man and thrillers like Taken and Maze Runner.
Sentosa Just Got Creepier
Explore Sentosa Fort – the only preserved coastal fort in Singapore at night as you immerse yourself in the chills and suspense of the terror that will lurk around you as you experience the Fort Siloso Nite Tour. Keep your torchlights safe in your hands as you take on the experience of WW2 soldiers as you navigate aimlessly through military barracks and tunnels.
These haunted trails start from 8pm on weekends and registrations start from 6.30pm. Your thrillogy will start from the Shuttle Bus stop at Palawan. Also, it’s free so bring your friends who “complain” about how Halloween Haunted House is not worth the price and break their facade of bravery to expose their true “scaredy-cat”.
For Those Who Love The Sun More Than The Moon
Sentosa has prepared a whole bunch of activities for you to engage in in the hot blazing sun as you get your workout in and achieve a healthy tan!
Ever been to the beach and wanted to play beach volleyball to realise that you don’t have the equipments? Fret not as Sentosa got it covered for you. From volleyball to soccer to frisbee, you’ll end up spoilt for choices! And did i mention, there will be water sports as well.
For those who want a calmer and relaxing day at the beach with no sweat-loss, there will be a SgInstaBabe session as well for those who want food, fun, fashion, music and entertainment. Held on 11 March, there will be sets from DJ Farz, Sakura. 50 over booths will be set up as well so you’re really getting all sort of fun in one!
Night Zip-Lining
If Sentosa’s zipline was an exhilarating one-time experience, you might be going for a second round this time with the first night Zip-line experience in Singapore!
Hanging 75m above ground on a 45m zipwire, you’re sure to get a bang for your buck as the breeze caresses your skin and adrenaline pumps through your body.
