For one weekend only, the New Majestic Hotel will house a very different set of guests.
Before it closes its doors for good next Thursday, the boutique hotel in Chinatown will be making one last hurrah this weekend by hosting Multiply.A Majestic Playground, a one-of-its-kind flea market within the building itself.
Happening from 11AM to 10PM from the 27 – 28 May, 30 hotel rooms will be transformed into makeshift pop-up stores and creative spaces that will feature over 60 local artists, designers, and makers from various disciplines.
Organised by Keepers and Straits Clan, with support from The Lo and Behold Group and Unlisted Collection, the market hopes to engage the local creative soul through a unique and interactive experience.
Feast for the Senses
Multiply will be a feast for your senses, and you can be prepared to be pampered with a myriad of food, drinks, activities, and shopping to keep you busy throughout the day.
If you’re in an artsy mood, feel free to treat your eyes with installations from famous local artists like “sticker lady” SKL0 or art student Priyageetha Dia, the mind behind the famous Jalan Rajah Golden Staircase.
Reward yourself with culinary delights from heartland ice cream parlour Creamier, boutique tea maker Pin Tea, or local chocolatier Demochoco.
For those shopaholics, you can check out Gnome & Bow’s classy leather bags, Matter’s intricate Batik prints, or the eye-catching avant-garde fashion of RÊVASSEUR.
