Are you ready to have your world transform into a paranormal universe?
If you are, be prepared to have more than just a ghostly experience at this year’s Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights.
Singapore’s largest and award-winning scare event will be opening its doors for the ninth time this year from 27th September all through 31st October 2019.
With 5 haunted houses, 2 scare zones, and 2 killer shows, this year’s Halloween Horror Nights will offer visitors an all-new frightening experience.
For those who dare to venture forth, here are 10 tips to help you make it through the night.
Be Early
Ask anyone who has been to this scare event and they will all share the same consensus – the scariest part of the whole event is the queues.
Year after year, Halloween Horror Nights never fails to draw in a huge crowd, hence the insanely long queues.
We recommend getting to the event at least an hour earlier to avoid the long queues as much as possible.
The More The Merrier
If you’re like me and you scare easily, going with a big group of friends will make this experience a lot more enjoyable.
Going with a big group of friends can also keep your energy at an all-time high as you guys will be able to feed off one another’s energies, making your experience at Halloween Horror Nights a more exciting one.
Have A Game Plan
This is one of the most important tips we have for you to survive through Halloween Horror Nights.
If possible, do try to familiarise yourself with the Halloween attractions and haunted houses before getting to the park.
Make a list of all the attractions and haunted houses that you want to visit, starting from the most important ones and ending with the least important ones.
When you get to the park, head for the attractions and houses that are at the top of your list so that you won’t miss out on your favourite Halloween attractions.
Additionally, you should also consider giving the park’s permanent rides and attractions a miss, or leave them towards the end of the night just so you will be able to get the most out of this Halloween experience.
Visit The Park On Off-Peak Nights
With the crowd this event will draw in, try visiting the park on off-peak nights. Not only will you be able to avoid the crowd, but you will also be able to avoid the long queues.
This also means that you will be able to spend more time exploring the Halloween attractions and haunted houses.
Here is the list of off-peak nights:
4th October (Friday) 6th October (Sunday) 10th October (Thursday) 13th October (Sunday) 20th October (Sunday) 31st October (Thursday)
Strap On A Pair Of Comfortable Shoes
You wouldn’t want to be caught dead in a pair of flip-flops now, would you?
With the amount of time spent walking around the park, standing in lines, and running for your lives, be sure to come in a sturdy and comfortable pair of shoes.
Stay Hydrated
Speaking of hell on Earth, it’s going to be extremely warm and humid, and with all the running you’re going to have to be doing, you will probably be sweating buckets throughout the night.
So, be sure to always have a bottle of water with you and drink up regularly.
Keep Your Halloween Suits At Home
It goes without saying that the best part about Halloween is coming dressed in your favourite costumes and masks.
Unfortunately, you’ll probably want to leave your costumes at home, just for the night.
According to the Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights park rules, costumes and masks are not allowed – the looks on your faces will make up for the absence of costumes and masks.
Instead, come in a comfortable and practical set of clothes.
Purchase Your Tickets In Advance
For those who have yet to purchase their tickets, it’s probably a good idea to purchase your tickets ahead of time as the line at the ticketing booth will be significantly longer than usual.
Tickets are currently on sale and you can purchase them here.
Get The R.I.P Experience
For those who are unaware, the R.I.P Experience encompasses a 4-hour tour where you will be personally escorted through the park.
Bid farewell to spending long period of time standing in queues because you will also be entitled to receive priority access to all haunted houses, rides and shows.
A Halloween Horror Nights admission ticket is also included as part of the tour all R.I.P guests will receive an Unlimited Express Wristband that can be utilised after the tour.
You can purchase your R.I.P Experience here.
Have Fun!
Last but not least, cast your fears aside and make the most of the night!
It will be one hell of a night so be sure to scream your heart out and have fun.
